The Corridor Empowerment Project (CEP) was established in 2006 in response to a need for healthier drivers within the Road Freight and Logistics Industry. The CEP is registered in South Africa and, in terms of South African legislation, is constituted as a Section 21 Company (non-profit company without share capital) with the Department of Trade & Industry and as a Public Benefit Organisation with the Department of Social Development.

The CEP's aim is to address the plight and challenges of people. Over the years, their focus has shifted from the prevention of HIV and STIs, to an integrated sexual and reproductive health programme, which includes general health and wellbeing. To this end, the Wellness Centres are staffed by registered nurses and counsellors who provide holistic medical and emotional support to drivers, driver spouses and commercial sex-workers.

To be the centre of excellence in the management, implementation and support of HIV/ AIDS Interventions.

To reduce the number of new HIV infections and reducing the impact of HIV&AIDS on individuals, families and communities in the Region.
